Stress, life, love, drama and even tragedy are constant challenges, but sometimes even the strong need more than just a break. When it comes to mental health, sometimes we all need real emotional help. Our men in particular often stand in the shadows of such help, from men in national leadership, soldiers experiencing PTSD to young males in our community who are afraid of being shot to death. The mental and emotional stress knows no boundaries.
As we closed May, Mental Health Awareness Month and dance into June commemorating Black Music Month and of course Father’s Day, sometimes it’s necessary if not crucial to take a mental health day or more for that matter to protect their well-being. This week our own clinical psychologist and motivational speaker Dr. Tartt explains the signs, symptoms and cures.
