Jawn Murray interviews Lee Daniels and the cast of “Star” at Essence Festival

This media personality traveled to New Orleans as part of the Essence Festival All Access team to interview some of the who’s who of entertainers and Hollywood stars on hand at the festival. In partnership with New Orleans tourism and their Soul of NOLA campaign, I spoke to a bevy of talent in a special one-on-one room in the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Check out my interview Hollywood producer/director Lee Daniels and the cast of “Star.”  I talk with the series stars Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady and Jude Demorest about their new drama on Fox and working with Daniels, a man known for creating vehicles that earn actors awards and make them household names.

I also had “Star” cast members Destiny and O’Grady join me and media Influencer Satchel Jester in the Smirnoff 180 Photo Booth in the Essence Festival VIP. (Check out the action photo above.)
