Review: 3 Very Good Reasons to See The LEGO NINJAGO Movie on September 22!
My oldest daughter and I just came back from an awesome trip where we spent some much needed quality time together. We were invited by Warner Bros. Pictures to LEGOLAND, outside of San Diego, Ca for a special advance screening of “The LEGO NINJAGO Movie“.
And you’re probably thinking, it’s a LEGO® movie, why didn’t you take one of your younger daughters. Well…besides the fact the our entire family usually enjoys the LEGO® movies, my oldest daughter has never been to California and it is one of her dreams to actually move there one day. So this was the perfect trip for her.

“The LEGO NINJAGO Movie” did not disappoint.
1- It’s the latest animated adventure in Warner Bros. Pictures’ LEGO® franchise, and it was hilarious. The writers did an excellent job of appealing to adults and kids alike. The entire theater was filled with laughter. And I don’t know who laughed more, the kids or their parents. When asked the question: “what made you decide to join the Lego franchise?” Dave Franco (who plays young Master Builder Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja) said:
…the creative team behind these movies somehow finds a way to make the humor appeal equally to my nephews, who are all under the age of five, as it does to my friends who are in their 30s. And that’s not an easy task.
2- “The LEGO NINJAGO Movie” stars Dave Franco, Justin Theroux, Fred Armisen, Abbi Jacobson, Olivia Munn, Kumail Nanjiani, Michael Peña, Zach Woods, and the legendary Jackie Chan. This star-studded cast did a great job of bringing their talents, skills, and experience to their roles. For instance, Justin Theroux, who played Garmadon, created a special voice for the charter that was befitting an evil warlord. He said he created the voice because his normal voice was not that sinister.
3 – Although I am genuinely a fan of the entire cast, Jackie Chan is by far my favorite and he did not disappoint as the wise-cracking, Master Wu. I did not know how much I really liked Jackie Chan until I saw him “up close and personal” during the press conference. He was just as animated and hilarious while answering the questions at the press conference as he was a Master Wu in the movie. Jackie Chan said he loved being Master Wu in the animated series because Master Wu never dies (lol) and because participating in animated films helps him to stay connected to the younger generations.
Overall, my daughter and I had a great time in San Diego and we recommend that you take the entire family to see the “The LEGO NINJAGO Movie” that arrives in theaters on September 22, 2017. Advance tickets are now available: http://tickets. legoninjagomovie.com
