Baby steps.  That’s what Visa is doing to encourage a cashless society.  They’ve embarked on a promotion where they will offer $10,000.00 to 50 restaurants and food vendors to help them upgrade their payment technology.  In return, the merchants will no longer be able to accept cash payments – only credit cards and contactless payments (such as Applepay, etc.)

Interesting, huh!?!  In an era where income is not keeping pace with increased costs of living, more people are relying on credit cards – the most expensive form of borrowing — to bridge the gap.  Credit card spending is at its highest level since 2008.

Giant steps.  That’s what consumers will have to take to dig themselves out of a mindset of perpetual credit card spending.

Be careful.  Stay woke.
