A-List Rides: Highway Hustling In The 2018 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited

My friend Jason called me and told me he was coming to Washington, DC for a three week political project and asked me could I pick him up from Baltimore-Washington Airport, which we in the D.C. area called BWI. Now this isn’t an airport I ever go to, however, it was the perfect time for me to put the 2018 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited on the road and test it out.

This eco-conscious vehicle was of course good on gas. I drove 44 miles from my home to BWI Airport and the gas gage didn’t even think about moving. This hybrid gets 34 city miles per gallon and 30 highway miles per gallon. Basically, you can almost drive from D.C. to Vegas and never gas up (I’m not being literal, so don’t try that at home kids).

When I arrived at the airport, Jason had so much luggage it looked like that scene in “Coming to America” when Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall arrived from Africa to America. But the spaciousness of the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid was able to accommodate his two large suitcases, one medium sized suitcase and a duffle bag in the hatchback trunk space. Plus I could still see out of the rear-view mirror with the bags in the back.

The ride on BWI was very comfortable in the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. It was a solid, sturdy drive that benefitted from the vehicle’s all-wheel drive aspect. While I felt safe driving because of its composed nature on the highway, this vehicle doesn’t get the overall safety scores that some of its competitors have.

The interior, as you’ll see in the video, is practical and simplistic in approach. There are some signature Toyota features, but nothing high-end or extremely remarkable about this crossover whip.

The gas mileage of this car is its selling point and its cargo space is its bonus.

Spin Control: With a price range starting at $27,100 and going upwards of $34,000 (about the price of my model), the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid has a model that works for your budget in that price point.
