George was my hero.  A 24/7, hands-on Dad.  A man of great character with a sense of humor; a disciplinarian with a ninth grade education and an unwavering commitment to family — who ran after God’s own heart.  I didn’t see it then – but in retrospect it is crystal clear.  If I had sumup how he made me feel in ONE WORD — it is safe.

To all who have experienced the love of one who has fathered – biologically or just out of a space of acceptance of a child in need; whether actively involved in some of the most important moments of your life; or providing financial, physical or intellectual support – in ONE WORD, how did he make you feel?
