Kenya Moore took a break from being on mommy duty to show fans her natural hair and its unique texture.

The 48-year-old beauty snapped a photo of herself fresh out of the shower after washing her tresses, no makeup and no clothes (she did wear a letter “B” necklace we assume is for daughter Brooklyn), to help promote her Kenya Moore Hair Care line. She also wanted to show fans what her natural texture is, since she often wears her hair straightened.

“People always ask what my natural hair texture is… this is without any styling product,” she wrote. “Fresh out the shower so don’t pan down 😂. I only use @kenyamoorehair products on my hair. Over 90% naturally derived. My hair is now waist length when I straighten it.”

Moore has always been proud to let people know her crowning glory is 100 percent her own.

“My hair is real,” she said on Watch What Happens Live a few years back. “It’s very long and thick. It’s always been.”

“We’ve ran our fingers through it so we know it’s real,” added former Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star and friend, Kandi Burruss.

Moore has also shown us her hair a few different times in different ways to prove that it’s real, and to push Kenya Moore Hair Care, which can be found at Sally’s Beauty Supply. But even without the luxurious products, Moore has said that the trick to healthy, long hair is to ensure that you’re taking care of your ends, and being careful about the heat you expose your strands to.

“I love a roller set,” she told ESSENCE back in 2017. “You really should not put a ton of heat on your hair. A lot of companies market flat irons and curling irons at 450 degree heat. That’s what you boil chicken at. You put chicken in the oven at 450 degrees.”

“What do you think it’s going to do to your hair?” she added. “Of course it’s going to break it off and dry it out and make it extremely damaged. We have to get away from the relaxers and direct hot heat and tension on the hair altogether.”

Now that’s some healthy hair. For a walk down hair care memory lane, check out our past interview with Moore about her line and what, or whom that is, inspired her to create it.
