It’s official! Da Brat has taken on a new title as a mom. She and her wife, Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart, have just welcomed a healthy baby boy! Many have been awaiting the arrival and he’s finally here.
PEOPLE Magazine exclusively reported that the rapper gave birth to her son, weighing in at 7lbs 8oz, on July 6th in Atlanta, Georgia. As you can imagine, both moms were ecstatic upon their baby’s arrival and overjoyed. Brat told PEOPLE about this unbelievable and life-changing moment.
“I can’t BELIEVE he came out of me!” she told PEOPLE. “Feels like a dream. He’s PERFECT in every way.”
Though the married couple was tempted to name their baby Perfect, they decided to stick to what they’d already come up with, True Legend Harris-Dupart. This moment is so magical as Brat, 49, stated she never thought being pregnant would happen to her.
She was very hesitant about the pregnancy and childbirth, “nothing is coming out of me!” she told PEOPLE. But how the tables turn. Brat told PEOPLE how much she wanted “something special from the both of us that we can share and raise and love unconditionally.” She’s officially a mom and has loved the journey to motherhood with Harris-Dupart by her side. “I had never been so excited about something that I didn’t even know I wanted.”

CEO of Kaleidoscope Haircare, Harris-Dupart, and Da Brat met back in 2017 at an event that the business owner hosted for her haircare company. Years after, they reconnected and have been inseparable ever since. In March 2020, Brat publicly confirmed their relationship and came out. They have always been out and open when it comes to their love, so the next big step wasn’t a surprise to many. The two lovebirds tied the knot in February 2022 expressing their love with a beautiful wedding. Fast forward a year later, they’re welcoming a baby boy. Someone grab the tissues.
